Brampton rolls over Collingwood to win 4th straight

Coming off a big game vs. Mississauga, the Caps top line of Adam Scuglia, Josh Ocampo and Ryan Marcuz were at it again as Brampton dominated Collingwood for a much needed 2 points. Scuglia and Ocampo both put up 4 points, while Marcuz shined again with another 5 point evening. Cody Dawe and Kyle Davis also potted a goal each making the final score 8-1. In a penalty filled affair, the Caps did well to stick together and remain focused on the win. On a side note, rookie goaltender Carmine Alfano entered the game in the third period and was stellar, turning aside all Collingwood shooters securing the win. Brampton is still alive in the race for the playoffs; they will look to surprise Georgetown on Thursday at Memorial.

Caps win third straight

The Caps welcomed the Mississauga Chargers on Thursday. This was a must-win game for Brampton to keep their playoff hopes alive; however it was Mississauga who drew first blood just 35 seconds in. Brampton sniper Josh Ocampo put the Caps on the board near the end of the first period with a quick snap shot that found the top corner. Early in the second period, Ocampo was at it again tapping in a rebound off Chargers goaltender Ben Hogan. Mississauga would answer right back to tie this game 2-2 heading into the third. The Caps picked up the pace early in the third and were rewarded with a power play goal by Ryan Marcuz. Ocampo would later get his hat trick, and Marcuz would net his second as Brampton took over for a 5-2 victory. As usual, Jared Lockhurst was the busier of the 2 goalies stopping 34 of 36 Charger shots. Adam Scuglia also had a big night assisting on all 5 Brampton goals. The Caps are off to Collingwood Friday looking to get 2 points closer to that 8th and final playoff spot.
